Tech Plan
Ken Lelen brings three to six vintage guitars and a sound system to every concert. The sound system used (Fender Passport) perfectly reproduces voice and vintage guitars without embellishment or distortion. Despite varied room conditions found at many sites, this equipment has provided quality sound reproduction without mishap for more than a decade.
The musician requires an unobstructed performance space and uninterrupted time to set up and break down his gear. Specifically, he needs 45 minutes to set up his amplifier, speakers, microphone stands, mics, power cords, fab, music stand, etc. and to set up and properly tune his instruments before a concert. Similarly, it takes 30 minutes to properly re-pack all this gear after a concert.
He needs secure and ample storage space for his vintage instruments. The equipment is loaded and transported on wheeled carts which need unimpeded doorways and thresholds as well as level walkways — no stairs, no inclined paths — please!
In performance Ken Lelen stands Center Stage with a quality mic on voice and guitar. As shown in the photo, the amp controls, six-foot display table and guitars on stands are set behind him; a movie screen provides a well-lit, white backdrop. At every event Ken Lelen needs access to electrical power, introduction by the event host, and one or two bottled water — no pitcher of iced water, no paper cups — thank you!
